What Evony War Room Is
Evony War Room is a general-ranking, stat-comparison, and primary/assistant pairing tool.
The site takes each general’s relevant skills, specialties, attributes, and supported effects, turns them into comparable numbers, and ranks those numbers by troop class and battle scenario.
At the simplest level, Evony War Room helps answer questions like:
Which general pairs give the strongest stats for this role?
For PvP, the site goes a step further. It uses established community battle formulas and a fixed comparison baseline to model March Strength and PvP Efficiency. That allows the site to compare general pairs under the same assumptions instead of only adding up visible buff totals.
Evony War Room is not a full battle simulator. It does not try to predict the exact result of a live battle, calculate exact troop losses, or reproduce every hidden mechanic in Evony.
The goal is more focused:
Given the same conditions, which general pairs are strongest and most efficient for my priorities?
A Note on How I Use This Tool
For me, the class pages are mainly a fast way to evaluate new generals and general pairs against established options. When Evony releases a new general, I want to know whether that general is worth pursuing and where they might fit among existing pairings.
PowerUser is where the site becomes especially useful for real planning. It lets me work within my actual Tavern roster and test pairings for specific jobs: attacking, reinforcing, joining rallies, defending buildings, and defending keeps.
That is how I personally use Evony War Room. I am not just chasing an ideal “best possible” pair. I am trying to find the strongest and most efficient pair available to me for a particular role.
How the PvP Model Works
The PvP model is built around a fixed comparison environment.
Across the site, the current baseline is standard modeled K45 vs. K45. That means general pairs are evaluated as if they are being used by a modeled K45 keep against a modeled K45 opponent.
This does not mean every player is K45. It also does not mean your own account is being fully reproduced. The point is to create a stable baseline so every general pair is tested under the same conditions.
Without a fixed baseline, rankings would not be very useful. One pair might look better because it was tested with a larger march, better buffs, different troop tiers, or a weaker opponent. Evony War Room avoids that by holding the comparison environment steady.
The PvP model applies the general pair’s relevant contributions to a standard combat context, including things such as:
- troop base statistics and tier
- march size
- standard modeled buffs
- flat bonuses
- primary-general attributes
- dragon skills, refines, and talents where supported by the model
- Monarch Gear
- General Civilization Gear
- fifth specialties
- military tactics
- the site’s fixed defensive opponent baseline
These assumptions are applied uniformly. The purpose is not to recreate every individual player account. The purpose is to compare general pairings fairly.
Why Class-vs-Class Modeling Is Used
The PvP tables model class versus class:
- Ground vs. Ground
- Mounted vs. Mounted
- Ranged vs. Ranged
- Siege vs. Siege
This is intentional.
It does not mean real battles only happen class-against-class. Real Evony combat includes targeting priority, layers, counters, reinforcements, traps, mixed marches, buffs, debuffs, wall generals, and many other factors.
The reason Evony War Room uses class-vs-class modeling is to keep the comparison controlled. If every Ground pairing is tested against the same modeled Ground baseline, then the Ground rankings are easier to interpret. The same is true for Mounted, Ranged, and Siege.
In other words, class-vs-class modeling is not trying to describe every live battle. It is a way to compare general pairings under equal circumstances.
What PvP Efficiency Means
PvP Efficiency is a modeled comparison of battlefield and Server War point exchange.
March Strength asks:
How strong is this modeled march after the pair’s buffs, debuffs, attributes, and march size are applied?
PvP Efficiency asks:
How efficiently does this modeled march perform against the site’s fixed opponent baseline?
A higher PvP Efficiency value means the pair produces a better modeled point exchange in Battlefield and Server War under the same assumptions. That does not always mean the pair has the highest raw damage output. A pairing can be very efficient because it trades well against the modeled opponent, even if another pairing produces more total attack power.
If your goal is maximum damage, look at the ATK column for the selected troop class. If your goal is the best modeled point exchange, look at PvP Efficiency.
PvP Efficiency should be read as a relative ranking metric, not as a promise that a specific battle will produce a specific result.
This distinction matters. Evony War Room can help compare which pair is likely to be stronger or more efficient under the site’s assumptions. It cannot know every variable in a live battlefield report.
PvP Efficiency is best used to answer:
Which pairing performs better under the same modeled conditions?
It should not be read as:
Exactly how many troops will I kill or lose in every battle?
Data Conditions and Calculation Scope
All Evony War Room rankings use consistent assumptions so that every general and general pair is evaluated fairly.
General and Pairing Conditions
Unless otherwise noted:
- Primary generals are fully ascended to 10★.
- General specialties are maxed.
- Compatible Skill Books are included according to the rules of the selected tool and comparison.
- Primary-general attributes are calculated using the user’s saved Monarch Level, or the site’s default level when no personal level is available. In practice, most players use generals at the same level as their Monarch Level, so this gives the site a reasonable way to estimate attribute-based contributions.
- Basic cultivation includes:
- +500 Leadership
- +500 Attack
- +500 Defense
- Assistant generals contribute supported assistant skills and effects.
- Assistant generals do not contribute primary-general attributes.
- Known incompatible primary/assistant combinations are excluded from ranked pairing results.
Raw general and pair stat rankings do not apply a user’s personal equipment, refines, skins, Monarch Gear, buffs, or account-specific troop composition.
Dragons and Spiritual Beasts
Dragons and Spiritual Beasts need a special note because assistant generals work differently from primary generals.
When a dragon or Spiritual Beast is worn by an assistant general, the dragon or beast’s own buffs do not count.
However, some assistant generals have a main skill that only activates when they are wearing a dragon or Spiritual Beast. In those cases, Evony War Room assumes the assistant is wearing the required dragon or beast so that the general’s own conditional skill can be counted.
In short:
- The assistant does not add the dragon or beast’s separate buffs.
- The assistant can receive credit for their own skill if that skill requires a dragon or beast to activate.
- Dragons and Spiritual Beasts are included only where the site has a defined way to include them in the relevant skill or model.
Additional Conditions for March Strength & PvP Efficiency
March Strength and PvP Efficiency extend the basic general-pair calculation by applying a standard PvP context.
This includes modeled assumptions for:
- troop base statistics and tier
- march size
- standard buffs and attributes
- flat bonuses
- dragon skills, refines, and talents
- Monarch Gear
- General Civilization Gear
- fifth specialties
- military tactics
- the fixed defensive opponent baseline
These are site baseline values. They are not a full copy of your personal account.
That is why March Strength and PvP Efficiency are useful for comparing pairs, but should not be treated as exact predictions of your own battle reports.
How to Read the Tables
Evony War Room tables generally have two ways to look at results: Pure Stats and March Strength & PvP Efficiency.
Pure Stats Table View
Pure Stats view compares the direct stat contribution of each primary/assistant pair.
This view is useful when you want to know:
How many relevant buff or debuff points does this pair contribute?
The table displays the pair’s applicable contributions for the selected battle scenario. Hovering, tapping, or clicking supported values reveals available breakdown details, including skill, attribute, and Skill Book contributions.
Pure Stats is closest to a direct buff/debuff comparison. It does not apply the full PvP model.
March Strength & PvP Efficiency View
March Strength & PvP Efficiency view takes the pair’s relevant stats and applies them to the site’s modeled PvP context.
This view is useful when you want to know:
What happens when this pair is placed into the standard modeled K45 vs. K45 PvP environment?
March Strength models the combined troop ATK, DEF, HP, and march size under the site’s standard assumptions.
PvP Efficiency models the pair’s relative battlefield and Server War point exchange against the site’s standard opponent baseline.
In this view, PvP Efficiency is usually the best column for comparing modeled point exchange. For raw damage output, sort by the selected class’s ATK column instead.
These values are comparative ranking metrics. They are designed to compare general pairs under the same assumptions, not to predict the exact outcome of a live battle.
Percentages in the Tables
Percentages shown in comparison tables represent relative performance within the current result set.
They are not in-game buff percentages.
For example, if a pair shows 100% in a comparison column, that means it is the top result in that result set for that column. Other pairs are shown relative to that top value.
Sorting
Column sorting uses the underlying calculated values.
No extra subjective weighting is added after the defined calculations are complete.
Tools Overview
Evony War Room provides several ways to rank, filter, and compare generals based on a player’s roster and priorities.
Each tool uses the same underlying general dataset and calculation rules described above.
Class Rankings
The Ground, Mounted, Ranged, and Siege pages rank the best primary/assistant pairs for each troop class.
Each page calculates five battle scenarios:
- Attack
- Defend Own City
- Reinforce Allied City
- Reinforce Building / Relic
- Outcity Defense
Users can switch between scenarios and between Pure Stats and March Strength & PvP Efficiency without recomputing.
Class pages are useful when you want a broad ranking of the strongest pairings for a troop class, whether or not those generals are currently in your own roster.
Wall and City Defense
The Wall and City Defense page ranks primary/assistant pairs specifically for defending the player’s own city.
Its overall ranking combines Ground, Mounted, Ranged, and Siege ATK, DEF, and HP contributions.
March Strength & PvP Efficiency is not shown on this page.
City defense is far more difficult to model responsibly because every city can be built very differently. Two players may both be K45, but have completely different troop layers, troop counts, traps, buffs, debuffs, wall setups, and defensive priorities.
There is also no established community model for full city-defense outcomes. Evony’s battle formulas are ambiguous, and the complexity of city defense makes it especially difficult to create a reliable model.
For that reason, the Wall and City Defense page remains a Pure Stats comparison. Players with specialized defenses can sort the individual troop-stat columns to focus on the troop classes most important to their own cities.
Other battle scenarios remain visible but disabled because this page is designed specifically for Defend Own City.
Sub City Debuff
The Sub City Debuff page ranks generals by enemy Ground, Mounted, Ranged, and Siege ATK, DEF, and HP reductions.
Most players use these generals in Subordinate Cities to support their main attacking or defending force.
The rankings do not change between battle scenarios because the listed debuffs apply in every supported scenario. Sortable columns allow users to focus on the debuffs most important to their own lineup.
My Tavern
My Tavern stores the generals you want to include in personalized Evony War Room searches.
When you are signed in, your Tavern also stores your Monarch Level. This is used to estimate primary-general attributes, because players generally use generals at the same level as their Monarch Level.
Use My Tavern to:
- add or remove generals from your personal roster
- save your Monarch Level for more accurate primary-general attribute calculations
- limit PowerUser searches to generals in your own Tavern roster
For the current release, Tavern’s main purpose is to personalize PowerUser and Custom Pairings calculations. Additional account-specific tools may be added in future releases.
PowerUser Search
PowerUser searches and ranks valid primary/assistant combinations from a larger pool of generals.
Use PowerUser to:
- select a general pool
- limit searches to generals saved in My Tavern
- select troop class and comparison stats
- restrict results by available primary or assistant criteria
- include compatible Skill Books
- compute all five supported battle scenarios at once
- switch scenarios and table views without recomputing
- compare results using Pure Stats or March Strength & PvP Efficiency
PowerUser is built for practical roster questions:
Given my Tavern roster and priorities, which valid primary/assistant pair is strongest for this role?
Custom Pairings
Custom Pairings allows users to select up to ten primary/assistant pairs and compare them directly.
Use Custom Pairings to:
- choose the exact pairings to test
- select the stats to compare
- include compatible Skill Books where appropriate
- compute all five supported battle scenarios at once
- switch scenarios after computing
- review results in Pure Stats or March Strength & PvP Efficiency
This tool is useful for testing known pairs or comparing commonly recommended pairings under the same conditions.
V1.02 Release
What’s New in V1.02
V1.02 expands March Strength and PvP Efficiency across the site and makes the major comparison tools more consistent.
New or expanded in V1.02:
- Ground, Mounted, Ranged, and Siege class pages now support March Strength & PvP Efficiency across all five battle scenarios.
- PowerUser computes all five scenarios in a single search.
- Custom Pairings computes all five scenarios in a single comparison.
- Users can switch scenarios and table views without recomputing.
- March Strength and PvP Efficiency are available in PowerUser and Custom Pairings when a supported troop class is selected.
- Class and tool pages use consistent Pure Stats and March Strength & PvP Efficiency table views.
Scenario-specific effects are applied independently for:
- Attack
- Defend Own City
- Reinforce Allied City
- Reinforce Building / Relic
- Outcity Defense
Publishing and validation have been consolidated into a canonical V1.02 workflow to help keep the website’s ranking data consistent.
What Has Not Changed
- Known incompatible general pairings remain excluded.
- Primary and assistant contributions remain calculated separately.
- Skill Book compatibility rules remain enforced.
- Wall and City Defense remains a Pure Stats comparison because city defense depends heavily on account-specific troop layers, troop counts, and defensive setups.
- Sub City Debuff rankings remain focused on enemy troop debuff totals.
- March Strength and PvP Efficiency remain comparative models rather than exact battle simulations.
Future Development
Possible future development may include more personalized opponent baselines, additional account-specific inputs, expanded Tavern features, and other tools built on a user’s saved roster and account information.
Future features may change as Evony War Room develops.
All rankings on Evony War Room are recalculated whenever new generals or significant game changes are introduced, helping keep comparisons current as the game evolves.
Evony War Room is meant to be understandable. Wherever possible, the site explains its assumptions and ranking methods so players can see not only which generals rank highest, but why they rank that way.
